It was the aforementioned “This band will change your life” cover, however, which did most to propel Franz Ferdinand into the spotlight. ![]() The tour was ”a party every night, such was my capacity to handle that kind of sh*t daily back then” recalls Thomson. ![]() Franz Ferdinand drummer Paul Thomson has fond memories of his band’s stint on the 2004 NME tour, “a great laugh” for which they were joined by Funeral For A Friend, The Rapture and The Von Bondies (“with their singer fresh from getting a doing off Jack White”). ![]()
